I love going to conferences so that I can bring back useful, inspiring things back to our school community. I’m excited to share something that was developed by Kurt Fischer, the director of my graduate program at HGSE, and Mary Helen Immordino-Yang, an alumna of that program and now professor at USC.
Neuroscience and the Classroom is an online course, web resource, and web community for educators that focuses on learning and the brain. There are things to read, activities to click through, and an email list serve where you can join a community of educators in discussions about bringing neuroscience insights into classroom practice. It’s a cool tool that I’m only beginning to explore since its release in the fall. I highly recommend that you check it out!
