I’m speaking today at the Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference (TRETC) here in Pittsburgh. My talk this morning is called “What Makes Great EdTech? Dispatches from the Field”, and it’s all about my own research experience in digital learning plus my insights from reviewing educational technology. I’m going to talk a lot about Graphite — Common Sense Media’s website for educators, for which I write critical reviews of edtech products. I’m also going to discuss my own observations as a teacher and school leader when it comes to the choices we make in schools around kids and technology. Follow our adventures online with the #TRETC2015 hashtag or follow me on Twitter @PMKievlan.
Also, here’s a link to my slides from TRETC. Enjoy!
